Senior Full Stack Software Developer

Job SummaryReporting to the Development Team Leader, the successful candidate will join our highly skilled Aviation Development Team working on our cutting-edge flight data management software; skybook. We are looking for someone who is highly experienced as a Fullstack Software Developer with a minimum of five years commercial experience.

Responsibilities and DutiesYou'll be working within the aviation software development team and be involved in the development of our award winning, flagship software skybook.

Working on our web applications using PHP, Javascript, NodeJs, HTML5, React, CSS3 and OracleUsing Jira for development cycle using agile methodologiesBeing part of our development road map team, developing new modules for our softwareImproving the performance across our web applicationsBeing part of the Tier 2 Out of Hours on call rotation

Skills, knowledge and experienceBSc in Computer Science preferred (or equivalent qualifications and experience as a Software Developer will be considered)A genuine passion for Software Engineering is essential, as is commitment and drive to be successful Demonstrable coding skills and an understanding of the necessities of cross-browser productionExperience with JavaScript and JavaScript libraries to create rich interactive content would be beneficialExperience of PHP backend development would be beneficialExperience/knowledge of working with web technologies such as HTML5 and deploying solutions acrossresponsive, cross platform devices/browsersAbility to provide accurate estimates with regards to work and work to a scheduleMust be organised, able to work to deadlines and complete any learning and development as requiredMaintain a good level of awareness of the industry and trends, particularly regarding developmentKeep abreast of usability standards and emerging technologiesMust be a team player and have excellent communication skillsMust have meticulous attention to detail

** although not a specific requirement of the role, due to the location of the offices the successful candidate will be a driver with access to a vehicle

LocationHeadquartered in Kirmington, North Lincolnshire we also have offices in Hull, East Yorkshire and support a remote working schedule. The successful candidate will be required to attend the offices to take part in meetings and training and as such, the post holder would need to be within a manageable commutable distance.
