The Backend Developer is responsible for developing and assisting with the maintenance of our evolving cloud applications and infrastructure by leveraging various AWS services to implement impactful, secure, as well as scalable solutions that support our SaaS platform and backend infrastructure. The backend development team is responsible building the core functionality for our SaaS architecture, internal applications, databases, and API’s.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the design, development, and maintenance of our backend applications and infrastructure using multiple AWS services. Support request within our ticketing systems to ensure the timely delivery of development and or processing of failed transactions.Perform software analysis, integration and unit testing, debugging and code enhancements ensuring code completion, routinely inspect code for optimization opportunities. Assist in designing and documenting best practices and strategies for application, backend and integration development, deployment, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.Assist with the timely delivery of projects Complete serverless application development leveraging multiple AWS services including API, RDS and Lambda. AWS backend development delivering clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices within the CodePipeline.
Who We’re Looking ForBachelors degree or related experience - Required.2+ years of experience required.5+ years of experience preferred.Must be 18 years of age or older.Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required.Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.Knowledge and a fundamental understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.) along with relative strengths and weaknesses. The ability to utilize various programming languages and AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, GraphQL, RDS, SQL, NoSQL, ECS, EKS, CloudFormation, Python, React.JS, JavaScript, Node.JS) Skilled in Serverless computing, asynchronous implementations, API and Microservices development (API Gateway) Lambda computing environment and programming model (AWS Lambda) Serverless deployment automation and CI/CD patterns (AWS Serverless Model, AWS Amplify and AWS Chalice Serverless identity management, authentication, and authorization (AWS Cognito and Identity and Access Management) Analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and resolve problems in distributed systems. Development skillset with an ability to work independently or collaboratively with team members as well as internal and external partners to ensure the on-time delivery of sustainable and stable solutions.
