ROLE OVERVIEWThe role is tasked with ensuring the planning, scoping and delivery of web projects to specification on time and on budget and providing technical support to more junior members of the team.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIESGood experience working with the React and Next frameworks.Good experience working with Wordpress - including build, (ACF and Gutenberg) deployment and maintenance.Good understanding of latest best practices for site performance and optimisation.Experience with common deployment mechanisms and tools - Vercel,GitHub.Experience with code source control tools - ideally GitHub.Experience integrating with REST APIs.A keen focus on producing clean, maintainable, well documented and robust code.An understanding of composable architecture solutions leveraging API-first Content and Commerce platforms.Assisting with the writing of technical documentation including pitch responses, solutions documents and top level architectural plans.Exposure to software testing practices and principles (eg. unit testing / UI automation).An understanding of the concepts of CI pipelines and their implementation.Experienced with evaluating and integrating 3rd party libraries as per project requirements.

INTERNAL & STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIESPromoting the cause of web development within the agency via presentations and demos.Contributing to the refinement of in-house processes and web development best practices including departmental coding standards.Always looking to deliver cost savings and process optimisation through the ongoing search foran improved and value orientated development toolset (e.g. infrastructure, deployment,standards, development languages and practices).
