Your future duties and responsibilities
Shall be involved in design, development, testing and implementation of web-based application including development of APIs in Azure cloud and their maintenance going forward. Translate functional designs into technical designs Diagnose application, infrastructure, and technology issues, define an appropriate solution, support the resolution, and document the incident Resolve any outstanding issues, defects or bugs Provide production support Create and develop Unit test cases Perform analysis to determine all the portions of the application which will need updating to implement the proposed changes Develop and unit test code in accordance with the defined technical designs Create unit test plans which detail test conditions and expected results Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle Write well designed, testable, efficient code Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with application development standards, technical requirements, and designed specifications Test code changes and resolve differences between expected and actual results Prepare and produce releases of software components and verify deliverables Deploy code to different environments Assist with troubleshooting technical problems and issues Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for technical review Shall act as a collaborator across teams both internal to the client organization as well as external on cross-cutting activities to ensure consistency and use of best practices. Shall be responsible for identifying, documenting and communicating risks and issues as well as making sure that are appropriate mitigation plans in place. Shall manage client expectations and communications in a manner that promotes long term trust and confidence in the team’s ability to deliver quality solutions.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Shall have at least five (5) years of experience in software development both front end and back-end development. Shall be proficient in Microsoft technology stack for cloud environment, operating systems, virtual machines, databases, web server, and account management/RBAC. Shall be proficient in data management involving data security, interoperability, processing of large volume of data, data maintenance, standardization, and distribution through web services, APIs, sFTP and HTTP encrypted with TLS. Shall have an understanding of database technologies to include but not limited to SQLServer and Azure Database services. Shall have experience utilizing program and project management tools, such as Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Git, Azure DevOps, and/or Microsoft Project to plan, execute, and measure projects. Shall be proficient in Agile DevSecOps principles including CI/CD pipeline, automation and use of tools and methods to efficiently manage product releases, sprints, and development cycles Proficient in Section 508 coding standards and user-centric UI development.
Shall have experience with technology such as but not limited to MuleSoft, SonarQube, Splunk.
Optional
Experience with UI development using React and/or Angular
Experience with software development using coding languages such as Java
Understanding of Federal Security Standards
Microsoft Azure certification
Proficient in written and verbal communications
In some jurisdictions, CGI is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $86,300 - $209,800
