Frontend Developer

Company Description Rideaway is an early-stage startup building a global experience marketplace to increase freedom, adventure and real life connections.

Role Description This is a contract remote role for a Frontend Developer at Rideaway. The Frontend Developer will join the existing front end team and assist in creating and maintaining the user-facing portion of the marketplace platform, building the responsive and user-friendly web app and interfaces, and making sure that the web application is functional and visually appealing. Initially this will involve work on the mobile first web app MVP before we expand the functionality.

Qualifications Strong proficiency in front-end web development, including HTML and JavaScriptExperience with modern front-end frameworks, like ReactExperience working with Vercel and Graph QL.Experience with responsive design, cross-browser and cross-device compatibilityUnderstanding of web standards and accessibility best practicesExperience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration toolsExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skillsBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or a related field

Additional qualifications that would be beneficial:

Experience as a technical project manager, coordinating the team’s efforts to achieve targeted goals.Experience with version control systems, such as GitUnderstanding of SEO principles and optimization techniquesExperience with UX/UI design in Figma
