Senior Front End Developer

We are expanding our Development team and have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Front End Web Developer to join our Agency.

Role DescriptionAs a Senior Front End Web Developer at VERSA Agency you will be working closely with the design, development and project management teams to deliver innovative and quality solutions for our clients.

The role requires an expert understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, experience in React, and a demonstrated ability to write accessible, maintainable, and performant web code. In addition, you will be expected to work proactively, effectively, and collaboratively in a self-organising team to deliver business objectives to agreed timelines. Our developers need to be adaptable to change, able to work on multiple streams of concurrent work, and have strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills and experienceBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or related field2+ years experience in a Senior Front End Web Development role, including both technical and leadership capabilities.The ability to set the technical direction for the front end craft, in collaboration with the Technical Lead, allowing yourself and others to innovate and produce creative solutions across a range of project sizes.Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of developers, ensuring code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.Expertise in: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactProficiency with: React Framework such as Next.js, Webpack, FigmaExpert knowledge of responsive design principles, cross browser compatibility, and web performance optimizationsExperience in developing accessible web content, including understanding of WCAGExcellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentExperience with integrating front end with back end systemsExperience with workflow management tools such as Jira and GitExperience with testing frameworks and the ability to undertake QAUnderstanding of SEO best practices and the ability to apply them to web development

At VERSA Agency we offer either fully remote or hybrid working arrangements, based on how you best like to work. This is a permanent, full time role, however, applications for part-time would be taken into consideration for the right applicant.
