Backend Developer - Java & Kafka (HOME OFFICE)

ITTConnect is seeking a Backend Developer - Java & Kafka to work remotely for a client in the US. This is a remote position with a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services with over 300,000 team members in nearly 50 countries.

RequirementsBackend Java with Kafka (3-5 years experience)Strong knowledge of Spring Boot (2.7 or higher) and Spring Security (5.x preferred), and an understanding of Oauth and JWTUnderstanding of MyBatis, JDBC and SQLExperience working with and being able to deploy applications to TomcatWorking knowledge of Maven and DockerUnderstanding of Kafka platform, including event streaming, topic creation and configuration, and Spring Boot integration with KafkaHands on experience writing custom producers and consumers using Java and Spring BootUnderstanding of Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with test-driven developmentPreferred: hands on experience with Confluent CloudPreferred: Hands on experience with developing CI pipelines using Gitlab CI, and deployments using Helm
