Back End Developer

The Ecommerce Backend Developer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of server-side logic for our ecommerce platform. This role focuses on creating a scalable and efficient backend infrastructure, integrating APIs, and ensuring system security and data protection.

Responsibilities

Backend Development:Craft server-side logic in collaboration with front-end developers.Develop and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable code.Build and sustain APIs for ecommerce operations.Database Management:Design and manage database schemas.Ensure optimal performance, data integrity, and security.Integration:Integrate various data sources and databases into a unified system.Manage and streamline third-party service integrations.Security:Implement security measures for data protection.Maintain compliance with data protection laws and regulations.Performance Optimization:Enhance application speed and scalability.Diagnose and resolve performance issues.Documentation:Generate comprehensive documentation for development processes and APIs.Uphold code quality through organization and automation.Collaboration:Engage in all development lifecycle phases.Work alongside a team to develop and implement new features.

Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Demonstrated experience as a backend developer, particularly within ecommerce settings.Experience with both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).Proven track record of developing consumer-facing web applications.Experience in a fast-paced, agile work environment.Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Skills

·Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, Java/ Java Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Huawei Cloud, MySQL, MongoDB.·Expertise in database management and server-side integrations.·Familiarity with cloud technologies and serverless architectures.·Adept at using version control tools like Git.·Knowledge of ecommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce) is an asset.Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
