Senior Golang Developer

A Platform Engineer is responsible for creating, maintaining, and evolving the computing platforms. They ensure that software products are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance. Combining elements from software engineering, systems administration, and architectural design, Platform Engineers work to ensure that both the infrastructure and software layers work seamlessly together Responsibilities Back-end development to meet customer’s business needs and implement components according to the modern software development environment (cloud-based platforms, microservice architecture, etc.) Work with the QA team to troubleshoot and resolve bugs Work on tickets assigned to maintain our application. Assist frontend team from time to time to fix bugs and/or tweaks to the UI. Independently manage and deliver entire epics from conception to completion. Develop and review feature design documents and provide inputs/update to specifications for the solution; Design and implement a set of various types of tests (unit, integration, functional, etc); Proactive position in solution development, processes improvements; Working in an international distributed team in an Agile environment; Communicate with PMs, engineers, Architects, QA and other colleagues and stakeholders; Delivering the product roadmap and plannings; To use high coding standards, software best practices and write highly testable, automatable and performant code over the whole SDLC. Requirements: 5+ years experience with coding in Go 3+ years experience with Git version control (and GitHub). 4+ years experience with Relational Databases (Postgres). 3+ years experience with developing GraphQL based APIs. Experience with managing entire epics independently Excellent knowledge in Computer Science, Computing Theory: Paradigm & Principles (OOP, SOLID, DDD, TDD, BDD); Experience with: Troubleshooting, profiling and debugging applications; Creation software architecture and design of complex applications, platforms, microservices solutions; Agile software processes and technologies; Code Review process; Refactoring process; Desirable Experience with NestJS Framework. Experience with Azure / AWS cloud environments. Experience with GitHub Actions (CI/CD). Experience with Docker / Kubernetes. Experience debugging ReactJS SPA You can: Positive and solution-oriented mindset Regularly achieve consensus with peers, and clear status updates An inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment Comfort working in a agile, intensely iterative software development process Active participation in Agile development process; daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint demos/retrospectives. Willingness / ability to learn new technologies as they become available Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor junior engineers. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Excellent communication skills, particularly when explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
