Role: The Functional Developer reports to the Manager, Functional Development and works closely with a diverse team consisting of a Project Manager, Business Analysts, a Team Leader, Developers and QAS.
Your Day with Equisoft:
Configure business processes based on defined business requirements Configure product features (such as calculations) based on product specifications Load product rates and define product parameters Configure access and security roles Use OIPA built-in functionality where possible to meet business requirements Work with the technical team to ensure integration points are supported through configuration Maintain and grow insurance industry and technical knowledge competencies
Requirements:
Technical
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or Mathematics 5+ years of experience in the insurance and/or information technology industries Programming experience; specifically, in procedural programming Strong understanding of SQL and general database concepts (query building and optimization) General understanding of various insurance and/or industry products Experience with Insurance Policy Administration Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)

Strong sense of organization and prioritizing Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline
