Our client is a Scandinavian IT-service software company with over 500+ employees worldwide. They have a relatively newly opened branch in Bulgaria and are a trusted partner for 300+ startups and established brands worldwide assisting them with their software needs. Onboarding a new partner, they are currently looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer to join their dedicated software development team and develop it further. The project is managed by a Swiss organization offering complete solutions for management of service agreements – from offer preparation for customer’s service requirements to handling agreement renewals and proactively supporting agreement portfolio over the entire lifecycle. In short, they facilitate the administration of maintenance contracts on a global scale.

The role is fully remote and the company offers both standard and B2B contracts. Please find more information below:

Senior PHP Developer

Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain robust PHP-based web applications and solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient, scalable, and maintainable software solutions. Follow best practices and coding standards to ensure high-quality code and adherence to project requirements. Troubleshoot and debug issues, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in PHP development and incorporate them into our projects where applicable. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

5+ years of professional experience in PHP development. Proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symphony, or CodeIgniter. Solid understanding of general programming concepts, data structures, and algorithms. Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience with ORM frameworks. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Fluency in English.
