As a Sr. Technical Curriculum Developer at Databricks, you will apply your expertise in data engineering and curriculum development to lead the design, development, and maintenance of the data engineering curriculum.
In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of learning content development, from the development of learning objectives and content design to content development, launch, evaluation, and maintenance. The courses you develop will focus on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform and include topics like data processing, data modeling, data management, production, and security.
As a member of Databricks Curriculum Development Team, you’ll work closely with global stakeholders, product managers and engineers, technical subject-matter experts, instructors, and other technical curriculum developers to deliver high-impact learning content for self-paced, instructor-led, and blended learning offerings.
The Impact You Will Have
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of multi-modal training content for Databricks customers and partners using the latest versions of Delta Lake, Python, SQL and SparkWork with subject-matter-experts and learning architects to scope needs for new courses and updates to existing ones Guide solid instructional design/curriculum development principles for multi-modal, hands-on coursesSupport instructors with adopting new materials and updates via the creation of instructor guides and train the trainersFunction as a company-wide thought leader and subject-matter-expert on curriculum development principles and best practices, along with educating Bricksters on said principles and best practicesProvide answers and support to the Support Team for issues related to our courses
What We Look For
Experience with topics related to big data engineering such as data streaming, pipeline optimization, deployment, and data securityExperience with Python software development lifecycle (Git, testing, modularization, etc.)Strong proficiency in Python and SQLAble to learn new technologies quicklyStrong analytical skills and data-driven decision-makingFamiliarity with at least one common cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)[Preferred] Experience designing and developing highly technical training based on instructional design best practices

Pay Range Transparency

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
