ServiceNow Developer
Role Summary:The ServiceNow Developer is a critical role responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions that meet business needs and enhance operational efficiency. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in ServiceNow platform development and a collaborative approach to problem-solving and project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in web development technologies, ServiceNow certifications, and the ability to navigate complex integration challenges.
Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions to address business requirements and improve operational efficiency.Customize and configure ServiceNow applications including Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management modules.Develop custom applications, workflows, forms, and UI components utilizing ServiceNow development tools and technologies.Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems and applications using REST/SOAP APIs and other integration methods.Work collaboratively with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and define project scopes and timelines.Offer technical guidance and support, resolving complex issues and enhancing system performance.Perform unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of ServiceNow solutions.Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, such as design specifications, implementation guides, and user manuals.Keep abreast of the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and best practices to inform development strategies.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.A minimum of 3 years of experience in a ServiceNow Developer role.ServiceNow certifications, particularly Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – ServiceNow, are highly regarded.Deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform architecture, components, and capabilities.Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies.Demonstrated experience with configuring/developing APIs and automations within the ServiceNow platform.Familiarity with ServiceNow development tools and technologies, including Studio, Workflow Editor, and Script Editor.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
