ABOUT THE PROJECT AND ROLE We are looking for a self-motivated person who wants to work with a team of other systems developers to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the core telephony services that process billions of calls per year.Our ideal candidate will be passionate about collaborating with other teams to help maintain and improve our high-capacity telephony infrastructure today, tomorrow, and into the future.
POSITION OVERVIEW Our client's corporate office is in Atlanta Georgia, but we are a multi-cultural multi-national team of remote workers. We are constantly trying to improve our products and services. Learning and training in new technologies. We have a very close-knit group of people who work very closely with each other for the success of our customers.
TELEPHONY SYSTEMS DEVELOPER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and troubleshoot telephony systems carrying business-critical traffic.Improves and upgrades software and dependencies to fix defects and maintain compliance.Works with telephony operations personnel to design and implement network and server clusters.Analyzes system usage and capacity to right-size systems for application.
TELEPHONY SYSTEMS DEVELOPER QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Experience working independently with C in a long-running systems environment.Some experience with dotnet/C# and C++ is preferred.Experience with SIP/RTP and other VOIP protocols sufficient to independently develop andtroubleshoot and participate in network design.Working knowledge of network essentials (NAT, multi-homed systems, DNS, IPv4).Knowledge of Asterisk internals and custom application and module development.Experience with Linux build tooling (make, gcc, autoconf, automake) and packaging basics (deb, rpm).Experience with source control and automated build environments (git, Azure DevOps Pipelines) is a plus.Experience writing automated unit and integration tests is a plus.Process-oriented with great documentation skills.Independent worker with good time management skills.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent related experience5+ years of C systems programming experience.Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, decision-making, customer service,interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem-solving, project management, qualitymanagement, teamwork, written communication, group presentations, group process facilitation, influence, results orientation, strategic thinking, and team building.Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database PCapplications.Practical hands-on skills in provisioning and administering solutions.
