Brooksource is seeking a WMS Oracle Developer Contractor for one of our Enterprise clients in the Retail space. This position is responsible for developing change to their Domestic Retail Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes. You will work with our supply chain team to enhance warehousing processes. You will be responsible for design/analysis, estimating, coding, testing, application performance, and documenting all code.
RESPONSIBILITIESWorking with a team to develop changes to our Domestic Retail WMS application.Work with co-located and remote key team members to include Systems Analysts, Tech Leads, Developers, Testers, and Management to design, build, and unit test the WMS application.Able to discuss and fundamentally understand business problems and speak to the team about technical designs and functionality. Develop PL/SQL programs and business logic based on business requirements, user stories, and/or tech designs.Creating code merge requests and reviewing deliverables with Tech Leads.Maintaining lower development environments to be in sync with each other and with higher testing environments.Participate in writing test cases, documenting results, and providing support during testing phases. Delivering quality code with minimal defects and quickly resolving defects that arise.Provide Go-Live Support during the warranty period.Participate in team Agile ceremonies.Ensure work meets functionality and quality expectations within given timelines.
QUALIFICATIONSPossesses a four-year degree in an IT related field. 3+ years of experience in development and support of WMS applications, preferably RDM or Oracle Retail.Experience supporting custom development, Oracle package applications, and interfaces to existing applications.Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Tuning, Oracle Forms, JSON, and Unix commands.Experience with database concepts and ability to read data models.Strong problem solving, analysis, design, and development skills. Experience in writing and interpreting both high level and detailed designs.Ability to navigate technical issues and evaluate risk. Experience with testing and project management tools, preferably Jira and Wiki Confluence.Experience with code management and pipeline tools, preferably GitLab.Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of complex tasks and activities. Experience in Java J2EE, HTML, JavaScript, JSP, and REST services is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
