About Making Waves Education Foundation

Making Waves Education Foundation's (MWEF) college and career success program provides need-based scholarship funding, one-to-one college and career coaching, and financial planning support for first-generation, low-income, students of color in the Bay Area. We partner with historically underrepresented and underserved students on their college and career journeys to help make college affordable and graduation attainable. We meet students' dreams with personalized support.

The Part-Time Salesforce Developer Opportunity

MWEF is currently pursuing a focused program improvement strategy, working toward equity and excellence in college enrollment and graduation. A key lever in strengthening our impact is implementing focused learning cycles that center the experience of those closest to the challenge we seek to address, alongside best practices and qualitative and quantitative data. To effectively implement this structured approach of organizing our work and learning through iterative practice and reflection requires a robust data infrastructure. We seek to ensure data and the supporting systems are:

Aligned: Data reflects the kind of information we care about and that we are going to use to inform program strategy. Supporting database design is scalable and extensible to support current and future program needs. Accurate: Data is complete, valid, and consistent. We implement measurement tools that are accessible and inclusive across lines of difference. We rely on standard, documented reporting and analysis practices to ensure data is accurate and represented fairly in our reporting. Actionable: Data is timely and relevant to the end-user – including staff and students. Database design supports streamlined data entry and data review that supports effective planning and decision-making. Integrated: Data is understood, actively referenced, and integrated in day-to-day practice and established organizational planning, problem-solving, and learning routines.
