Senior Geospatial Developer - Enterprise, Infrastructure & Security

As an experienced, creative, Senior Geospatial Developer with proven technical skills and a consultative mindset, you will focus on designing, developing, and implementing complex technical solutions and helping to set future directions in a changing GIS technology world. If you are selected for this role, you will be surrounded by Geospatial Professionals in one of the largest Geospatial Companies in the Industry. You will be on a team that leverages agile development best practices to support a wide variety of clients.

Work Environment

Location is flexible: Axim Geospatial Headquarters, Regional offices, or work from home considered Travel up to 15% of the time

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Crafting and developing customized web applications Developing custom routines, viewers, and/or databases Application design, development and collaboration in a distributed team environment using source control Development and implementation of test plans and automated test scripts Developing and applying service orientated architectures to enterprise solutions

Qualifications

Competencies and Skills:

A real passion for working with teammates and customers to solve problems Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines Ability to work in a high-tempo environment Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and Python Experience with Angular, REACT, and C# Experience with ArcGIS Pro/Desktop Experience with Developer Edition ArcGIS Experience Builder Experience with ArcGIS Pro/Desktop Knowledge of internet architectures and technologies Knowledge of geospatial concepts Familiarity with standard software development protocols and coding standards Application documentation including system design and technical specifications Development of custom geospatial solutions

Experience Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Geography/GIS, Engineering or related field* 5+ years’ experience as a software developer** Additional experience can be substituted for education Additional education can be substituted for years of experience

Ideal (in Addition To Required Experience)

Cityworks development experience Demonstrated experience developing geospatial applications Application documentation including system design and technical specifications MCPD and/or Esri technical certifications Experience developing in a team
