Knowesis has an ongoing need for a qualified Application Developer to assist the Department of Defense (DoD) Artificial Intelligence Talent 2.0 Program. These roles entail delivering outstanding support in AI, encompassing non-traditional program and technical management, various work products, administration and operations, logistics, graphics, project management, and training for both DoD agencies and the cyber community.

Candidates must possess a minimum Secret Security Clearance and be U.S. Citizens (applicants unable to provide evidence of U.S. citizenship will not be considered due to the security clearance prerequisite for this position).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop and maintain software applications to support systems related to networking, hardware and software security, configuration, and other technical compliance requirements.Conduct research and provide recommendations on IT security requirements and design methodologies to comply with new cyber security requirements identified by DoD and/or HQDA.Designs algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems.Assist in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues to support unique system sustainment requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and design technical solutions that meet those requirements.Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards, design principles, and software development best practices.Develop and maintain technical documentation for software applications.

Required Skills and Experience:

2-4 years of experience in software development.Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, C++, Python, or C#.Understanding of networking, hardware and software security, and other technical compliance requirements.Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting technical issues.Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience with DoD and/or HQDA cyber security requirements.Experience with cloud computing and related technologies such as AWS or Azure.Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.Experience with web application development.

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
