Job Title: Software Engineer/Sr. Software Engineer - AltairOne Platform HPC Backend Developer

We are currently seeking an experienced software engineer to deliver insights from massive scale data in real time from SaaS based applications on Altair One TM platform. We are currently hiring a software engineer to join our engineering team to build and maintain a secure and robust cloud-based infrastructure on Altair One TM platform.

Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and deliver complete user story with minimal supervision. Collaborate on architecture and integration requirements across multiple teams. Work closely with distributed teams across the world to ensure that the Altair One TM platform meets the Altair quality guidelines. Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications. Gather and analyse metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding. Showcase POCs enabling use of new frameworks/technologies.

Job Requirements

Very good understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application is a must. Ability to program with one or more high level language such as Python, Java, JS, Go etc. Good understanding of microservice architecture and DevOps practices that support. Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, LXC is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a distributed team. A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks. Experience in Full stack application development and modern web frameworks like React.js, Angular etc. is a plus.

Qualifications : A Bachelors or Master’s in computer science or an Engineering in related subjects
