About the Role:
Acacia is seeking a highly skilled GoLang Backend Engineer to join their dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Golang and its associated frameworks, particularly Gin and Gorm. In addition to Golang expertise, proficiency in JavaScript and Java is essential. This role involves developing robust backend solutions, improving system performance, and contributing to our suite of software products.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-performance backend services using Golang, with a focus on Gin and Gorm frameworks. Collaborate with frontend developers and design teams to integrate backend services with JavaScript-based frontends. Utilize Java for certain backend components, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code to solve complex problems. Participate in code reviews, optimize performance, and ensure scalability of applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements. Stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in backend development, especially in Golang. Troubleshoot and debug applications, ensuring high reliability and availability. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
Essential knowledge, skills & experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of proven experience as a GoLang Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Golang, Gin, and Gorm. Proficient in JavaScript and Java, with a solid understanding of their integration with backend services. Experience in developing scalable and high-performing backend systems. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to write efficient and clean code. Good knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL. Familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile and Scrum. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have:
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Contributions to open-source projects or a strong presence in the GoLang community.
