Senior OSS Developer — Python (Remote)

What You’ll Do

Drive the development of our open-source tools like httpie/httpie (50K+ stars on GitHub)Implement features with uncompromising simplicity and top-notch user experienceWrite high-quality documentation, blog posts, and other technical contentRespond to GitHub issues and pull requestsManage releases on various channels (PyPi, Homebrew, Linux, Windows, …)Contribute code and ideas to the overall platformRespond to questions on StackOverflow and Discord

You’ll be a great addition to the team if you have

At least 5 years of software engineering and Python experienceDemonstrated ability to lead the development of an open-source projectExcellent English and technical writing skillsSolid understanding of HTTP and modern APIsPassion for developer tools and sense for what makes them amazingPassion for simplicity and delightful user experienceGood sense for when to choose a robust vs. minimal solution to move fastAbility to comfortably navigate the ladder of abstractionEagerness to learn and share
