Role and Responsibilities: Build robust and scalable server-side components that align with our commitment to excellence and reliability, supporting both the web app and AI/ML functionalities. Collaborate seamlessly with frontend developers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, ensuring a customer-centric approach. Implement security and data protection measures, upholding integrity in handling user data and maintaining the reliability of our systems. Optimize back-end performance, embodying our culture of achieving ambitious goals with excellence. Integrate seamlessly with cloud services (Microsoft Azure) for enhanced scalability and performance. Technical Skills: Minimum of five years expertise in the development of scalable backend Proficiency in languages such as Java/Python Experience with backend / server-side frameworks such as Spring, FastAPI Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture using Kafka or an equivalent Knowledge of relational database management and optimization Having experience in ML/AI frameworks will provide an additional advantage It would be beneficial to have familiarity with Azure, Terraform, Ansible Having familiarity with SOC2 provides an extra benefit Hiring process: Talent acquisition screening -> Company, cultural fit screening -> technical assignment -> technical interview #1 -> technical interview #2 -> Discussion with sr. team -> HR round Work environment: We believe in a balanced approach between face-to-face work environment and working from your own office space, be it from home or from a co-working space. Every member of our team has a high sense of ownership and hence is free to decide when and where to gather. We are likely to have most of our team members located in Bangalore. Hence, we would like someone who also likes Bangalore, who would eventually be ok to relocate to the garden city. Compensation & Benefits: You will start as a part-time (fixed at 20hrs / week) or a full-time consultant (fixed at 40hrs / week) On confirmation of cultural and competency fit (which is expected to take around 3 months), you will make it into our permanent rolls We compensate well over the market norms (between $15 to $30 per hour); we believe in growing together and making the next few years one of the best professional experiences mutually.
