About the opportunity:

We are seeking a driven and experienced Sr. Java Software Engineer to join the team in designing, developing, and building a cutting-edge software platform to integrate our client’s core platform with external services. You will play a pivotal role in building a scalable and robust system that handles real-time data analysis and integration from various sources for a new and exciting client!

Responsibilities:

Help to define, design, develop and implement the software architecture, cloud infrastructure and data systems; Collaborate with the team to integrate diverse data sources (GPS, Cameras, Fare Validation, Weather, Traffic, etc.) into a unified platform;Mentor junior developers and testes by providing technical expertise and guidance, as well as conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards;Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient, and maintainable Java code for the platform, and comprehensive documentation for both engineering and product aspects;Actively participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and implementation planning for new features;Develop and maintain unit tests for the application and related projects to ensure code quality and reliability.

Hands-on software development experience in a team environment using Java;Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for systems development;Extensive knowledge of modern DevOps practices, including unit testing and CI/CD workflows, as well as containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes);Knowledge of streaming data processing frameworks (Apache Kafka, Apache Flink), experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases;Experience consuming and/or designing REST APIs and understanding of Microservice architecture.

Nice to Have:

However, if you have the following requirements, it will be a plus for your application:

Experience on leading teams;Knowledge of Linux or other Unix-like operating systems, and AWS networking (VPC, VPC-Connectors, etc);Experience working with autonomous vehicle data or similar domains;Experience with: Python, Node.JS.
