Founding iOS Engineer - Kitt

We're a tiny but mighty startup team - two ex-neobank operators who’ve scaled consumer products. Now, we're trading spreadsheets for live shopping and designer threads. We're looking for a Founding iOS Engineer who's as passionate about pixels as they are about performance. Think fast-paced flash sales, killer UI, and a chance to rewrite the shopping experience.

What you'll do:Work closely with the founders to define the technical vision and roadmap for the iOS app.Design, develop, and implement core functionalities of the app, including user interface, live streaming integration, and social features.Ensure the app is performant, scalable, and built with best practices in mind.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Work independently with backend-as-a-service (BaaS) tools like Firebase and AWS to establish core functionalities like user authentication, data storage, and real-time communication.Collaborate with backend engineers (if and when hired) to ensure seamless integration between the app and our server infrastructure.Be a champion for quality and user experience.

What we're looking for:3+ years of professional experience in a fast-moving consumer tech company as an iOS developer.Strong understanding of iOS development principles, Swift, UIKit, and related frameworks.Experience working with backend-as-a-service (BaaS) tools like Firebase and AWS for user management, data storage, and real-time communication.A strong sense of design and a keen eye for detail. You understand how user interface (UI) choices can impact user experience (UX).Bonus points for experience with live streaming APIs and e-commerce platforms.
