Must Haves: Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, natural sciences, business IT degree or in any quantitative discipline.At least 7-10 years Tableau / visualization development experience.2/3 years Dataiku experience (although this is not a data modelling role)Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements; documenting their technical implementation.Routine use of source control (Git, SVN, TFS, etc.) as part of regular BI development activities.Proven experience trouble shooting and resolving analysis services issues. Debugging, identifying bugs and driving them to closure by working closely with the development team.Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile / Scrum environment ensuring quality deliverable end of each sprint.Good communication skills in creating and maintaining technical documentation.Familiarity with test management (UAT, unit testing, system integration testing and release to live processes)Fluent EnglishMicrosoft Office / 365Project Management Methodologies Plusses: Experience in the commercial real estate industry (ex: JLL, CBRE)Knowledge of conceptual, logical and physical data modelling, dimensional models, star schemas etc. (although this is not a data modelling role)Tabular model performance tuning, partitioning and optimization experience.IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations / Software Development Lifecycle Management (SDLC)Involvement with BI community activities or news groupsAn understanding of software engineering principles, particularly the database lifecycle management (DLM) process e.g. version-controlled releases; branching & merging; partially or fully automated release builds, continuous integration/delivery etc.Python and or JavaScript knowledgeExperience in Machine learning and advanced statistics Description: We are looking for an experienced BI Developer to help build out a customized client BI platform built primarily across Dataiku and Tableau. You will use your design, coding and business analysis skills to create, maintain and enhance data objects and calculations in Tableau models as part of a structured software development lifecycle. There will also be an element of business analysis and documentation to support the insights created. Ultimately, you will help develop tabular models and contribute to reporting solutions to ensure information is presented securely, accurately and provides insight and value. 1. BAU BI Platform Support – troubleshoot and fix dashboards issues including sometimes complex business logic implemented in within the data models 2. Platform Development – create and enhance BI dashboards and multiple data models as part of planned platform development projects and activities 3. Transition Management – support the technology components of new client on boarding to include such items as building and testing objects and measures in dashboards and tabular models, etc. 4. Client Project Services – carry out technology project related activities to include such items as requirements capture, business rule specification, dashboard and tabular model design, change management routines in Dataiku and Tableau 5. Collateral Development – in supporting the BI solutions the role includes activities such as documenting the new implementations and changes in the dashboards to be able to compile for multiple IT and Business standard
