ResponsibilitiesAs a Software Engineer, you sit uniquely poised to help our engineering and product team. You will be involved and drive our code deployment (CI / CD) and setting up, configuring, and running development/test and staging/production infrastructure across multiple products, with the objective to drive towards standard infrastructure tooling and configuration across our organization.You’ll set the shape of our platform’s backend vertically moving forward. We welcome your expertise on best practices for database management, server-side scripting, and API governance capability.Design, develop, and maintain serverless solutions and APIs.Improve and extend interfaces by implementing efficient and scalable architectures.Manage, monitor, and deploy code and configure development (CI/CD): test, staging, and production environments.Drive towards standard infrastructure tooling and configuration across our organization.Configure and run development/test and staging/production infrastructure.Optimize backend systems for performance, and scalability and handle backend security issues.

Requirements

Must-Have Requirements:We work in a remote-first environment, so strong communication, as well as a proven ability to work within a remote team, are highly desirable qualities.Experience in developing and maintaining serverless solutions and API designs.Improve and extend interfaces by implementing efficient architectures.Bonus Requirements:Familiarity with SQL/relational databases and NoSQL: Redis and DynamoDB.Proficient working knowledge of back-end programming languages and tools like NodeJS and Typescript.Experience in developing real-time communication solutions: WebSocket, SocketIO, or AWS AppSync.Experience with AWS cloud environments: RDS (Aurora), Lambda, CDN, API Gateway.Experience with infrastructure as code solutions: Terraform, AWS SAM.
