Backend Developer - Research & Innovation (m/f/d)

You will have the opportunity to explore new, emerging technologies and experiment with innovative solutions, while also contributing to the development of product-ready features for our software.Therefore, we are looking for a Backend Developer - Research & Innovation (m/f/d) across Europe.

These are your tasks:You will research, develop and try out new, different and emerging technologies that can open new possibilities for interesting solutions (coding is not your main focus in this phase).You will implement proof of concepts and MVPs to check the feasibility and validate a solution.You will Implement product-ready features and contribute to the ongoing development of Shopware.You will ensure the quality and functional integrity of the software.You will take care of the maintenance and troubleshooting of the code base.You will support for code reviews within the team as well as cross-functional collaboration with component specialists and product owners.You will write documentation and give support to the community.

What you bring to the table:You have at least three years of professional experience as a software engineer, especially in PHP (Framework: Symfony or Laravel).You have experience in writing Unit and Functional tests because you like to improve the reliability and quality of your software.You have experience in MySQL, ideally also with Elasticsearch and Redis.Ideally you also have knowledge in Vue.js and JavaScript, even TypeScript or the willingness to learn it to support the Frontend when needed.You are driven by passion, have strong communication, teamwork and adaptability skills and you are keen to be in a continuous exchange with your teammates and internal team stakeholders to share, shape and identify the best solution.You will mostly work on innovative topics, but you are also curious about new tech trends (like AI, 3D, VR, AR, ML, etc.) and you should have a strong willingness to invest most of your time doing research by your own or together with your teammates to try out new solutions by yourself without a clear and defined task list.You speak English and would like to work in an international, English-speaking company.
