WeUp, a Web3 startup, is providing a professional development fellowship program for individuals in the IT industry. Our team is composed of dreamers, thinkers, and doers who are passionate about creating impactful solutions. We are seeking software developers or engineers at different stages in their careers to gain hands-on experience developing an innovative Web3 social media gamification platform (WeUp). The unpaid fellowship requires a minimum of 15-20 hours per week dedicated to producing the minimum viable product or MVP.

We're on the lookout for a Technical Project Lead/Lead Engineer to guide our engineering teams and spearhead our projects. Role OverviewAs a Technical Project Lead/Lead Engineer at WeUp, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction of our projects. You'll lead a talented team of engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and high-quality software development, with a focus on mobile and web app development, cloud services, and emerging technologies such as blockchain. Your role will be critical in leading a team of engineers to deliver mobile and web applications that incorporate the latest in cloud services, blockchain, and Web3 technologies.
ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the execution of technical projects from conception to live deployment, ensuring seamless integration with AWS cloud services and adherence to microservices architecture and NFT/Web3 functionalities.Provide mentorship to our engineering team, enhancing their skills in React Native, ReactJS, Redux Toolkit, Unity Game Engine, and a suite of AWS services including Lambda, Cognito, API Gateway, EC2, and DynamoDB.Foster a collaborative environment with various teams to define project parameters, objectives, and timelines, embedding Ethereum blockchain technology effectively where needed.Drive the adoption and effective use of Ethereum blockchain and smart contract development to support NFT functionalities in projects.Oversee software design and delivery, with a proactive approach to coding, conducting code reviews, ensuring that coding practices are up to par with industry standards for Web3 applications, and tackling complex technical challenges head-on.Assure the achievement of project benchmarks that resonate with our business goals, particularly in the blockchain space, while adeptly managing AWS-hosted environments and serverless architectures.
Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.A minimum of 5 years in software development, with experience in blockchain, NFTs, and Web3 technologies and at least 2 years in a leadership role with a focus on mobile and web applications.Proficiency in JavaScript, React, React Native, Redux Toolkit, and experience with smart contract development.Experience with AWS Cloud Services, including EC2, Lambda, Cognito, API Gateway, DynamoDB, combined with an understanding of Ethereum Blockchain and related technologies integrations.A documented history of managing intricate technical projects with a DevOps approach, including the establishment of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.Exceptional verbal, communication, leadership, and project management abilities, with a solid understanding of Agile practices.
