The Support Engineer will handle data quality enhancements across several existing systems.
Requirements are:Technical ability to work with other developers to build Java-based solutions to business needs, or to expand upon existing Java-based applications.Work and communicate effectively with client staff (both contract and APS) and external vendors, from various technical and non-technical backgrounds.Respond to technical questions in support of and to maintain existing agency applications.Meet the goals and objectives of client through delivering assigned tasks and working with the rest of the team.Review IT Systems’ support requirements, updating the records of support requests and addressing system fixes and enhancements.Work with Delivery Managers and Technical Leads to improve the stability, security and reliability of existing IT Systems applications.Mentoring other staff within the team.Support technical projects to extend and expand IT Systems applications including coding, testing and installing high quality applications.Assist with producing various technical documents including production support artefacts.Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to assess, process, cleanse, and verify potential problems.Experience with AML/CTF software systems preferred.
