The RoleAs a Software Developer for Format Solutions, you'll play a pivotal role in the technical advancement of our mature Windows-based formulation application, written in Fortran and C++. You'll be a technical expert and problem solver, driving innovation and excellence across the software lifecycle.

ResponsibilitiesEmbrace the Codebase: Deeply understand and analyze the existing codebase, identifying opportunities for optimization, modernization, defect remediation, and feature expansion.Full-Stack Mastery: Own both UI and backend development, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for our customers.Optimization: Partner with internal developers and stakeholders to maximize efficiency and accuracy in optimization offerings.Champion of Communication: Effectively articulate technical concepts and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, both internally and with customers.Modern Development Practices: Leverage Agile methodologies, modern source control systems (git), and best practices to deliver high-quality software.Documentation Champion: Ensure clear and comprehensive documentation for improved code maintainability and knowledge transfer.Cross-company Collaboration: Work across multiple product lines to build an industry leading portfolio of solutions.Customer Focus: Provide technical application support to internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth product usage and resolving any issues.

Qualifications5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on complex applications.Extensive experience in Fortran (and some C++), with a strong understanding of Windows-based development.Proven ability to analyze, refactor, and modernize legacy codebases.Demonstrated expertise in full-stack development, encompassing UI/UX design and backend architecture.Experience with Agile development methodologies and best practices.Familiarity with Licensing and Entitlement Management (LEM) systems, with a preference for Zentitle experience.Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.A meticulous attention to detail and a passion for building well-documented, maintainable code.
