Position OverviewThe Digital Experience and Customer Empowerment (DXC) Digital Assist-Learn Engineering team is looking for a Principal Engineer, Backend to join a team whose efforts are part of the digital transformation of the company. Your focus will be on delivering feature-rich front-end web experiences and services for our customers, providing new ways for them to interface with client reliably and at scale. You will help lead the frontend development of our support portal, leveraging Node.js, React, Docker, and other innovative web and DevOps technologies. This requires understanding complex business requirements, back-office systems, and user experience flows, all while delivering a forward-thinking, feature-rich support platform that will have a direct impact on our customers.

Qualifications7+ years hands-on backend experience developing scalable, reliable backend API services and software applications5+ years experience with back-end programming in a Java environment or Python3+ years experience with Node jsExperience working with Javascript, React, Angular, or similar web frameworks is a plusExperience integrating, designing, and building REST APIs, web servicesExperience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and writing build scriptsExperience with continuous integration tools, such as JenkinsExperience with Amazon Web Services (i.e. EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Cloud Front, Cloud Wat, Lambda, Cloud Formation, and others) or similar cloud infrastructureUnderstanding of PCI compliance and security best practicesBS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
