Python Developer with OpenTelemetry

Position Description

CGI has an immediate need for a Python and OpenTelemetry to join our financial services team in Sterling, VA, Columbia, SC or Lafayette, LA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S. where CGI has an office.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Looking for members with python and opentelemetry experience to help automate data injestion in opentelemetry. The data source can be splunk, dynatrace and other enterprise monitoring tools.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

4+ years' experience in Python 1 year experience in OpenTelemetry 2+ years development experience in AWS services (EC2, S3, lambdas etc) Standardize data collection and telemetry protocols by providing a single set of tools for collecting telemetry. Make observability more ubiquitous by making telemetry data more easily available. Make telemetry vendor-neutral and help users avoid being locked into proprietary agents.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $59,700.00 - $146,900.00.
