POSITION SUMMARY:As a Web Developer specializing in WordPress at Broadvoice, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our online presence. Your primary responsibility will be to manage our WordPress instances, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and running efficiently. You'll work closely with our marketing and product teams to implement new features, improve website functionality, and provide a seamless user experience across our digital platforms.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY: Manage and maintain multiple WordPress websites, ensuring they are optimized for performance, accessibility, and security.Implement updates, plugins, and themes, customizing as necessary to meet business requirements and enhance user experience.Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement new website features and functionalities that support our marketing and product strategies.Conduct regular website audits to identify areas for improvement and implement fixes to enhance speed, SEO, and user engagement.Troubleshoot and resolve any website issues, including content, plugins, and integration problems.Collaborate with external agencies or freelancers as needed to support website development and maintenance.Stay abreast of the latest web development trends and technologies, recommending and implementing innovations that can benefit Broadvoice's digital presence.Ensure website compliance with legal and privacy requirements, including GDPR and CCPA.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Minimum of 3 years of experience managing WordPress websites, including theme and plugin development, custom post types, and API integrations.Proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.Experience with website optimization tools and strategies, including SEO, caching, and content delivery networks.Strong understanding of website security best practices and experience implementing security measures for WordPress.Familiarity with website analytics and performance monitoring tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Strong communication skills (fluent English is a must), with the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms.
