Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Expert with a passion for automation and optimizing developer environments and testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing both on-premises and cloud-based application system infrastructures to support our engineering and QA teams. This role requires a unique blend of technical agility, efficiency in operation, and a commitment to creating single-click automation solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and tools to allow for the speedy development and release of software.Automate the provisioning of environments using tools like Jenkins, along with scripting and automation using Oracle, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL databases.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment using various automation tools and platforms.Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on-premises and in the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).Work closely with development teams to integrate new deployment processes and strategies to meet our feature requirements.Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards for both on-premises and cloud-based environments.Manage, track, and document changes to code with the goal of improving automation and efficiency across all operational activities.Ensure critical systems, applications, and services are always up and running by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health.Provide technical guidance and educate team members on the aspects of their jobs involving automation and DevOps practices.Qualifications:Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.Proficient with git and git workflows.Working knowledge of databases and SQL (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL).Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and AWS/Azure/GCP.Experience with automation software (e.g., Jenkins) and scripting languages.Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.Experience with systems and IT operations - comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.Strong grasp of automation tools.Keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
