Key Responsibilities:
Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure PeopleSoft applications based on business requirements using Application Designer, PeopleCode, Component Interfaces, Application Engine, and other development tools.Development: Design, develop, test, and implement new features, enhancements, and integrations within the PeopleSoft environment, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.Technical Analysis: Conduct technical analysis of business requirements to identify optimal solutions within the PeopleSoft framework, considering factors such as performance, scalability, and maintainability.Troubleshooting and Debugging: Diagnose and resolve issues related to PeopleSoft applications, including troubleshooting bugs, performance issues, and integration errors.Documentation: Create technical documentation, including design specifications, code documentation, and deployment guides, to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure the maintainability of developed solutions.Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, functional consultants, and system administrators, to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of developed solutions, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.Performance Tuning: Identify and implement performance optimization techniques to enhance the performance and scalability of PeopleSoft applications, including SQL optimization, caching strategies, and indexing.Version Control and Deployment: Manage version control of application code and coordinate deployment activities, including code migrations, release management, and environment refreshes.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a PeopleSoft Developer or similar role, with expertise in PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Designer, and related technologies.Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, data model, and integration mechanisms.Experience with PeopleSoft HCM, FSCM, or other PeopleSoft modules is desirable.Proficiency in SQL and database concepts, preferably with experience in Oracle or SQL Server.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.Certifications in PeopleSoft development or related technologies are a plus.
