BigCommerce Developer

As a BigCommerce Developer at Cronix, you have the exciting opportunity to wear many hats! Here are some responsibilities you will typically take on:Guide a digital software engineering culture emphasizing innovation, growth, and development.Be “hands-on” when needed, jumping in to pair programs with team members or pick up a bugfix ticket.Oversee teams in the selection of the appropriate tools and frameworks.Work on eCommerce applications, along with conceptualizing, designing, building, and deploying solutions.Build custom BigCommerce theme development and custom functionalities.

Requirements:A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.Knowledge of broad shop construction, launch, and maintenance expertise, as well as a general understanding of the admin system.Proven skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, as well as a thorough grasp of the DOM.Previous experience working with a custom theme and/or the Storefront API.Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.Working knowledge of BigCommerce's theming system.Previous experience implementing/debugging third-party BigCommerce apps, as well as building unique solutions if needed.In-depth knowledge and expertise with vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, ES2015/ES6, and current JavaScript frameworks.Working knowledge of BigCommerce's object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields.Extensive testing and debugging abilities using the browser console and other tools.Prior experience developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.Working knowledge of third-party services and APIs, as well as BigCommerce plugins.Capability to communicate effectively and provide proactive feedback.Advanced knowledge in GitHub and BigCommerce CLI.Good working experience with relational and NoSQL databases.Knowledge of software development concepts/methodology/life-cycle, especially Agile methodology.Knowledge and experience managing eCommerce/CMS platforms such as Magento/Adobe, Shopify, SAP, Salesforce, BigCommerce, DemandWare, etc.
