API DEVELOPER(Python)

We are seeking an experienced API Developer with expertise in Azure Data Products to join our client in the pharmaceutical industry based in Scandinavia.This is a remote position open to consultants located in Poland or the European Union.

As an API Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining APIs that interface with various Azure Data Products, including Azure Purview, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Cosmos DB. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating seamless data flow and automation within our Semantic Layer ecosystem.

Main Responsibilities:Designing and developing RESTful APIs following industry standards and best practices.Leveraging Azure Data Products APIs and SDKs to interact with diverse data sources and services.Implementing data transformations, validations, and security measures like authentication and encryption within the APIs.Optimizing API performance for scalability and reliability.Monitoring API usage and performance, creating thorough documentation, and conducting testing to ensure functionality and reliability.

Ideal Candidate Profile:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant accreditations are a plus.3+ years of experience as an API Developer, with a focus on Azure Data Products.Profound understanding of RESTful API design principles, patterns, and best practices.Proficiency in Python or another commonly used language for API development (e.g., Java, C#).Deep comprehension of Data governance and lineage within any cloud framework and its interaction with APIs.
