6 Month Contract | UK Based | Remote
We’re a boutique, independent user experience and technology company with an exciting opportunity for several experienced backend developers to join us for an initial six month contract.
Working within the engineering team on a large digital transformation project you’ll be responsible for delivering modern, Node based Microservices that will transform how our clients do business.
As a senior back end developer you’ll bring a minimum 5 years experience with several Node Microservice projects under your belt.
This is a UK based remote role where you’ll be welcome to join us in our Chester office at any time outside a monthly meet-up.
What you’ll be doing
Collaborating with the wider team on the application architectureDeveloping new backend microservice based API’s and functionality using Node.js including the applications, databases, interfaces, and new functionality enhancementsTroubleshooting and debugging servicesParticipating in code reviewsAssisting with releases to UAT and Production environments
About you
A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar back end roleA track record in delivering enterprise level Node based Microservices Strong experience with Typescript, Node.JS and Express.JSExperience creating and managing relational databasesGood understanding of API’s, Microservices and Containers.Modern software development platform experience including code repositories, automated build, testing and deployment (pipelines/actions)Experience working with Jira in an agile environmentAn analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.A confident communicator; written and verbal.
