This role is 100% REMOTE and would require you to work in US eastern time hours.As a Ruby on Rails Developer, you would be dedicated to building, maintaining, and enhancing internal business applications that integrate to various accounting and manufacturing systems.

Job Description:Our Client is seeking a talented Ruby on Rails Software Engineer to join our Technology team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our suite of software solutions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software that meets the evolving needs of our clients.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure Ruby on Rails applications.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and other areas of improvement.Work closely with QA Engineers to ensure proper test coverage and participate in the testing process.Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our software offerings.Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.Develop responsive RESTful APIs in Ruby on Rails.Architect and implement web features in ReactJS (standalone, not in Rails).Apply agile methodologies to development practices.Create well-designed, reusable UI components shared across web applications.Engage in code reviews, write unit tests, and troubleshoot to ensure system uptime.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).4+ years of experience in professional software development.Proven experience developing web applications using Ruby on Rails.Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL query optimization.Experience with other technologies and software languages including Java, javascript, aws services etc.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, JIRA).Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.A passion for software development and a desire to make a positive impact in the healthcare industry.Proficiency in GitHub or other source control platforms.Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
