Come Join Our Team

We are currently seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team on a Software Development and Support program utilizing ServiceNow’s Enterprise Service Management (ESM) platform for a federal agency. The Senior ServiceNow Developer must be able to create logical and functional software code in a variety of languages and must have experience in understanding and articulating the benefits and risks associated with different coding languages in different functional environments. Must have experience reacting to problems and correcting the program, as necessary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing complex ServiceNow solutions that meet the unique needs of our federal client. Through collaboration with project teams and stakeholders, the Senior ServiceNow Developer will play a key role in driving the success of the program by leveraging their deep technical expertise to deliver scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Your contributions will be instrumental in driving the program’s success and delivering outstanding value to our federal client.

What will I get to do?

Solution Development: Design, develop, and configure advanced applications on the ServiceNow platform to support project requirements, including custom application development and the customization of existing applications.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring best practices in ServiceNow development are followed and project deliverables meet the highest quality standards.

Integration and Automation: Implement and maintain integrations with other enterprise software solutions, utilizing REST, SOAP, and other web services to automate processes and enhance system functionality.

Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of ServiceNow applications, ensuring they are efficient and scalable to support the agency’s operational requirements.

Security Compliance: Ensure developed solutions adhere to federal security standards and compliance requirements, implementing necessary security controls within ServiceNow applications.

Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide comprehensive support and consultation on ServiceNow capabilities and technical issues.

Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest ServiceNow features and updates, applying continuous improvement practices to enhance system functionality and user experience.

What qualifications do I need?

Must have the ability to pass a background check and obtain a Public Trust clearance.Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in developing and implementing ServiceNow solutions, preferably within a federal agency context.8-10 years of relevant experience.8 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for education.Must be a ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in ServiceNow development.Must have ServiceNow certification(s) with 6-10 years of experience in ServiceNow development, including a deep understanding of various ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, Performance Analytics, Service Portal, ITOM, integrations, and RESTful APIs.Strong ability to create logical and functional software code in a variety of languages.Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant web technologies used in ServiceNow development.Experience in coordinating with various individuals such as program and project leaders to analyze system and/or product architecture, design, coding, and performance.Ability to identify strategies for addressing requirements, risks, issues, and to conduct trade-off analysis of requirements against fiscal, schedule, and performance issues.Strong demonstrable skills in resolve problems as related to their field.Extensive experience in understanding and articulating the benefits and risks associated with different coding languages in different functional environments.Expert knowledge in reacting to problems and correcting the program, as necessary.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

What additional characteristics will help me thrive?

ITIL v3 and/or ITIL v4 Certification(s) is highly desirable.ServiceNow ITSM Implementation Certification (CIS-ITSM), preferable.ServiceNow Customer Service Management Certification (CIS-CSM), preferable.Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including application development, integration, and system administration.Development Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies relevant to ServiceNow development.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement effective solutions to complex challenges.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project needs and technologies, with a commitment to staying current with ServiceNow developments and best practices.

Compensation

$113,927.72 - $187,981.83

The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may be taken into consideration - contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. The estimate displayed represents the salary range for this position and is just one component of Cognosante’s total compensation package for employees. It is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, nor a promise of any specific pay for any specific employee.
