Role DescriptionThis is a contract remote role for a backend developer. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining features in backend services. You will collaborate with other backend and frontend developers to create responsive APIs and ensure that they functioncorrectly.QualificationsFamiliarity with the JavaScript ecosystemStrong experience with TypeScript and Node.jsStrong experience with databases and SQL, specifically PostgresExperience with the Linux kernel, Bash scripting, and C bindingsStrong experience with virtualization technologies including KVM/QEMU, Docker, and LXCExperience with common development workflows, including IDEs (such as Visual Studio Code), version-control systems (such as Git), and testingHands-on experience with testing frameworks, including unit test frameworks such as Mocha.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.Nice To HaveExperience with CockroachDBExperience with the Bun runtimeFamiliarity with datacenter environments
