I’m working with an eCommerce startup, focused on reducing food costs for low and middle-income consumers in Africa, they are currently looking for two Backend Developers to join their globally distributed team.

Their services are already up and running following the $8mil Seed round earlier this year, with Series A likely to follow soon.

You’ll quickly start contributing to the re-architecture of their platform as well as building out new features. You’ll get lots of direction from more senior team members and Product but you’ll need to deliver your work in a fairly self-sufficient way.

To be considered for this role you’ll need to already be experienced working on Backend services in Node and TypeScript. They want engineers who can work to best practices in terms of scalability, performance, reliability and security.

You must be located within a timezone that is within 3 hours of Nairobi and available full-time during normal working hours.

$66,000 per annum + Stock options.
