About the Job:The Murex Developer will play a crucial role within our financial institution, bringing expertise in Murex development with a specific focus on Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) and Standardized Approach to Counterparty Credit Risk (SA-CCR) Liquidity (SCCL). The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Standard Initial Margin Model (SIMM) and Uncleared Margin Rules (UMR), ensuring compliance and efficient operation within the evolving regulatory landscape.
Job Responsibilities:Murex Development: Spearhead Murex development initiatives, focusing on FRTB and SCCL modules to enhance trading book risk assessment and counterparty credit risk management.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to SIMM and UMR regulations, integrating regulatory requirements into Murex configurations and workflows.System Enhancement: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system enhancement opportunities, addressing gaps in regulatory compliance and improving operational efficiency.Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments within the trading book, leveraging Murex functionalities to implement FRTB methodologies and SCCL calculations accurately.Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure Murex modules to align with specific business needs and regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of FRTB and SCCL.Technical Support: Provide technical support and expertise to internal teams, troubleshooting issues related to Murex configurations, workflows, and regulatory compliance.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Murex configurations, developments, and regulatory compliance measures for audit and reference purposes.Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to disseminate expertise in Murex development, FRTB, SCCL, SIMM, and UMR regulations among team members.
Requirements:Murex Development Experience: Demonstrated experience in Murex development, with a focus on FRTB and SCCL modules.Regulatory Background: Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, particularly in relation to SIMM and UMR regulations.FRTB Expertise: Proven track record in implementing FRTB methodologies within Murex environments, including risk factor modellability, default risk charge, and stress testing.SCCL Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of SCCL Liquidity calculations and reporting requirements within Murex.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical Murex solutions.Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Financial Industry Experience: Previous experience working within the financial industry, preferably within a banking or trading environment.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. Advanced certifications in Murex and regulatory compliance (e.g., FRTB, SIMM, UMR) are advantageous.
