Python Software Developer

Calling all Australian based Python Software Developers, join us on a 6- month remote engagement work within an International Banking Group based in Hong Kong.

You will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure the timely and qualitative delivery of a large data conversion solutions project.

We are seeking 15 skilled and analytical Python Software Developers who can design, create, and implement data conversion solutions.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python version 3.9 or above and Linux scripting. If you have experience with VSAM, JSON, PostgreSQL, and Mainframe Cobol, and are passionate about delivering high-quality projects, we’d love to hear from you!

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Implement Solutions:Create efficient and reliable data conversion solutions.Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and controls.Deliver projects according to the Data Conversion Project plan.Standardized Coding and Reporting:Implement standardized coding practices.Develop efficient processes for data conversion.Generate accurate and timely reports.Collaborate and Communicate:Provide progress updates to project stakeholders.Escalate issues as needed.Support project leaders and managers with subject matter expertise.Team Participation:Actively participate in team and project meetings.Engage with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have:Experience: Between 2 and 10 years of software development experience.Coding Skills: Proficiency in Python version 3.9 or above and Linux scripting.Technical Knowledge:Familiarity with VSAM, JSON, PostgreSQL, and Mainframe Cobol.Experience with implementing new products/applications.Understanding of business logic, functions, and operations.Communication Skills:Resilient personality with strong communication skills.Business English proficiency.Cantonese, Thai, Korean, or Mandarin language skills are a plus.Key Stakeholders:Project leader and Project ManagerSolution Architect and Team leadersAccountable Executive, Programme Director, Programme Managers, and Project GovernanceAdditional Information:Business English proficiency is mandatory; additional languages are an advantage.
