Software Engineer

Software Engineers are members of our product and technology teams, responsible for creating, enhancing, and supporting common features. Working side-by-side with DevOps Engineers, Software Test Engineers, and Business Stakeholders, they are actively involved in the complete software development life cycle in an agile environment including technical design, hands-on coding, unit testing, integration testing, performance tuning, maintenance, test automation, deploys and upgrades. They also work closely with DevOps, DBAs and Systems Engineers to make deployments easier to improve team velocity and overall quality of delivery.

The Product & Technology engineering family consists of software development, testing, database, devops, virtualization & networking.

During The First Six Months, You Will

Recommend and implement improvements to team core processes Complete stories or subtasks where the approach is less defined, however the outcome is clearly definedWork with senior team members to pressure test their design or approach.Propose appropriate scope adjustments centered on delivering the right client outcome while considering technical debt impacts. Understand a large code base to contribute to it and understand existing designs and technology choices to make appropriate adjustments to existing designsWork within the scope of a team with specific guidance from manager and collaborate with team membersFind innovative ways to increase the quality and velocity of your workExercise creativity and solve cool problemsDemonstrate passion for writing quality softwareContribute to a shared code baseDemonstrate software quality through unit and integration test automationStrengthen your team by sharing your knowledge and interests with othersBuild relationships and communicate with various types and levels of stakeholders across the organizationAnalyze and spearhead improvements to the systems and software that are important to your teamManage risks, escalate priorities and help to resolve issues that could impact production quality

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field 3+ years of experience with React/TypeScript and C#/.NET developmentExperience with relational and NoSQL databasesExperience with containerization (i.e., Docker, K8s/Kubernetes)Experience with cloud-based architecture and automation preferably in AWSExperience with continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD)Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Chef or PuppetMust be adaptable to change and have a willingness to learn Must be able to work effectively in an agile and team environment

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $146,189/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
