Position Overview
Verra Mobility is seeking a Lead Software Developer candidate to contribute to the development and quality of our future and existing technology products. This position will help build new platforms on cloud technologies that diversify our portfolio and enhance the technical platforms that drive our core business. This individual will collaborate with Software Development Leaders, Business Analysts, other teams & team members for sharing and gaining knowledge and experience to help enhance team performance and departmental competency.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the scrum team, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software that meets all requirements.Develop high-level and low-level design documents to be used by team members for development.Actively participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards are enforced and adequate code coverage is maintained.Understand the effect of iterative development and release management processes dictated by an Agile Scrum environment.Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, perform root cause analysis, and troubleshoot production incidents to ensure system stability and application functionality.Collaborate with stakeholders (product teams, scrum teams, and internal teams) to break down complex technical challenges into actionable solutions.Develop and maintain technical documentation.Mentor and coach associate-level team members, fostering their technical skills and leadership potential.
Qualifications
Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.8 years of experience developing and enhancing applications written in C#5 years of experience creating unit tests (TDD experience preferred)5 years of experience creating low level design documentation for medium to large sized efforts.2 years of experience working with cloud technologies (Azure preferred)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, knowledge sharing, and collaborationExperience working in team environments and with Agile project methodologies.
Technical Expertise
Experienced with Front End development (React, TypeScript, JavaScript)Strong background in API development, management, and other system integration practicesSolid understanding of security practices including authentication and authorization servicesExperience with Azure cloud technologies, including Service Bus, App Services, API Management, Key Vault, Blob Storage and DevOps PipelinesCreate, Update, and Enhance Stored Procedures, SSRS reports, and SSIS packages.Provide technical assistance to end users by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or technical questions.Integrate automated testing into Azure Pipelines to ensure quality at build and deployment.
