Senior Software Developer (Ruby on Rails)

We are looking for a Senior Software Developerto work with Wonolo’s Supply team and help build features to support our mobile apps! You will be employed by a third-party legal entity authorized to do business in the location in which you reside and you will provide contractual services to Wonolo’s Supply team. You will join a team of talented backend and mobile engineers, and work alongside Product and Design to help deliver quality features for our Wonoloers (workers). You'll work on building new APIs, maintaining and improving existing Backend logic, and tackling tech debt. The Supply team supports 1 million workers, so this is a perfect opportunity to make a big impact working on a large-scale application. This is a great opportunity to work on large-scale products and lead key architectural initiatives. You will be a big driver in delivering a world-class customer experience.

What You'll Do

Write well-tested, maintainable code while iterating and shipping rapidlySolve technical problems of different complexities and scopeParticipate and give suggestions from a technical standpoint in Design and Product reviewsMentor and collaborate with remote team members through code reviews and pairing

Who You Are

5+ years of industry experience working on an established Ruby on Rails backend systemYou have solid communication skills, and are excited about collaborating with Front end teams, Product Managers, and DesignersYou care deeply about the craft of software development and stay on top of emerging technologies and best practicesYou can articulate technical trade-offs of different approaches, know-how and when to deviate from established best practices, and can admit when you're wrongYou have the desire to grow, mentor, and learn from your fellow developers, regardless of levelYou demonstrate a substantial commitment to representation and inclusion
