In this dynamic role within Vertex’s Emerging Technologies Group, you will lead the development of proof-of-concept and pilots, driving innovative business opportunities. We are seeking a hands-on candidate with comprehensive experience in end-to-end development, including full-stack proficiency and cloud architecture expertise. Your role involves providing guidance, mentorship, and knowledge to rapid development teams. Comfortable collaborating with diverse stakeholders, the ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving, defining development paths, and presenting impactful results to enhance business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: What you’ll be doing

Possess a robust understanding of AI/ML cloud services, leveraging them effectively, and hands-on experience with SaaS infrastructure technologies (preferably AWS/Azure). Specialized experience in building and operationalizing retrieval augmented generation (RAG) frameworks. Proven skills in utilizing LLMs for software automation capability integrations. Experience configuring vector databases for semantic search and proficiency in LangChain, sentence transformer frameworks, ChatGPT4, or comparable models, and MLOps. Familiarity with emerging technologies like Data, ML, AI, Blockchain. Demonstrate hands-on expertise in establishing, developing, and managing backend services and front-end applications. Manage multiple small projects/proof of concepts with 2-3 developers per project, working through 2–3-month iterations. Mentor junior developers to foster a collaborative team environment.

Key Qualifications: What you need to be successful in this role

Minimum 4 years of experience with front-end technologies: NodeJS, React, JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5 (or similar). Minimum 4 years of experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS/Azure. Extensive experience in full-stack development, distributed systems, and relational databases. Background in software development with expertise in Big Data, ML, AI, and/or Blockchain. Self-motivated, creative, and innovative mindset. Capability to deliver technical expertise and guidance through a consultative approach. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Rapid learning ability and proficiency in evaluating and implementing new technologies. Innovative thinking and the ability to devise creative solutions. A commitment to writing clean, readable, and well-documented code.

Education & Training: What skills you should possess

Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or equivalent experience required. Minimum 10+ years of experience in full-stack development or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory. Certifications preferred by not mandatory. or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
