Senior Database SQL Developer

A SQL developer is a software developer oriented to database development. With Transact SQLexperience working with 3rd form of normalization data models; creating, refactoring andmodifying stored procedures; query tunning and analyzing existing queries; indexes and queryhints; data movement using different tools for ELT/ETL processes and good level knowledgeusing the SQL Language. With a strong sense of task ownership.

What you’ll do at Blueriver:

Perform migration tasks from an Oracle database to Azure SQL database, performing tasks migrating and refactoring Database objects such as tables, stored procedures, views, functions, and translating Oracle packages into the corresponding stored procedures for Transact SQL.Work with the Principal Data Architect to perform and monitor all data movement processing.Analyze existing queries and refactor when is needed to warranty good query performance.

What we’re looking for:

5+ years of experience with:Microsoft SQL ServerAzure SQL ServerAzure Data Factory or similar toolsTransact SQL:-creating and modifying tables, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers and indexes.-Query tunning and performance enhancementsETL/ELT:-Working with any type of ETL tools, we are looking for ETL mentality process, data movement, data transformation and data quality assurance from source to target.-CTE and query performance tuning.Good communication skills.Analytical thinkingProblem solving skills.Attention to detail.

Nice to have:

Oracle 11g database server.PL/SQL: Understanding and experience using PL/SQL to develop tables, stored procedures, functions, views and packages.
