Senior Java Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our newly established offshore development center in Cochin. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Java development, particularly with Liferay, and possess a solid understanding of cloud computing concepts. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.What will you do:-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.Design and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable Java applications using best practices.Customize and extend the functionality of Liferay portal according to project requirements.Integrate Liferay with other systems and applications as needed.Implement and optimize cloud-based solutions to enhance performance and scalability.Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments.Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in Java development, Liferay, and cloud computing.What do you need to succeed:-The incumbent should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development, and Liferay portal development.Proven track record of successful projects involving Liferay portal development.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.Proficiency in Spring Framework, Hibernate, and other relevant technologies.Experience with web services protocols such as RESTful and SOAP.Familiarity with front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Nice to Have:Certification in Java or Liferay.AWS Certifications.Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.We offer a competitive salary, a collaborative and dynamic work environment, and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects.
